Charlie has just fell for a scam on Ebay where he has lost over £9000 he had paid for a new motorcycle, . He had transferred the money to an eBay 'holding account' at the suggestion of the seller, travelled up to Scotland to find there was no bike and his money was gone. As he transferred the money 'willingly' there appears little he can do about it.

There is no such thing as an eBay 'Holding Account' and he was provided with details of where to send the money by the scammer.

He has reported this and got a crime number, but it will not help to get his money back.

Having suffered a heart attack last Autumn the bike was going to be his 'recovery therapy'

The bike has since been advertised in South Africa as for sale, with the same pictures , so it appears to be an ongoing fraud .

To get Charlie some of his lost money back would be a fantastic gesture

Any funds raised will pay towards a new motorbike for him to live his dream .

So it is very simple most people who see this thread are not yet subscribers to this forum, but an old biker who is subscribed to here has been scammed out of all his savings for a bike, as a pensionner it hurt him hard, especially just after a heart attack, the bike was for his rehab and to get better, so please help and share the link below every little helps.

Not much activity in this post.
It actually sounds like a scam itself:D
Feel sorry for the old boy. But he was rather silly :rob

We’ve all made mistakes but this one is so punitive. I’ve shoved in a donation and hopefully we’ll help in out a bit.

Why’s the goal only £2000 if he’s lost £9000?

Glad to donate for a fellow member who despite an error of judgment has fallen on bad times. There but for the grace of God etc.

Charlie is probably at a point in his life where he will find it very difficult if not impossible to recover from this scam without the help from other's

Small donation made

Is there a way of donating by Paypal, as I looked earlier, and it just seems to take credit cards?
