Hi All, now I am back on the bike I am looking at new tyres. I currently have anakee 3's fitted which seem quite good for the sort of riding I do. Just thinking that there might be another type of tyre for me? My riding is all tarmac , so no donkey tracks or mountain climbs (unless it's a motorway to Italy) . I know it can be a very personal choice. Your opinions welcome?

Michelin PR5 or PR6. Continental Trail Attacks get a good press as do Pirelli Scorpion 2 There is a whole world of black rubbery hoops out there for you!

PR 5 on mine now and the bike is miles better for them.

PS the way tyre availability is just now, the correct answer is what your supplier can get a hold off just now.

Just fitted a pair of Pirelli Angel GT2. Prefer them to the PR5's I had previously.

CTA3 are on mine and are absolutely brilliant.

I'm with Stick and Snelly - CTA3. Just brilliant. Massive improvement on handling and confidence, plus plenty of miles on them...

Just changed my rear CTA early as I'm about to head for Spain. It had done 7k miles, and still had 3mm tread. Front will get to Spain and back I hope, hence almost 10k miles!

New rubber time shortly for me too. Im a bit of a michelin fan and road only rider on the GS so the natural choice would be the PR6s. However the Continentals seems to have a very good following, i came to the GS from a Crosstourer and they were pretty popular there too.
Question for any that runs that brand, theres Road Attack and Trail Attack, is there much between them on road only, or any particular reason why youd pick one over the other, (other than the obvious that ones called road and the other Trail) mileage, grip, noise etc.

The Trail version's profile suits the GS better and if you get the V speed rated one you get a lot more depth of tread.
I believe the tyre compound is the same as the Road Attack.

Just a note on that , the CTA set are a good stable and nice turning , the CRA are good also but a lot slower on turn as the rear is shallow profile along with the front but the rear seems to pull the bike up in corners rather than drop in as the front feels stable as the CTA front IMHO

Classic low post wonder.....asks a question that could easily be found in a simple search then abandons the thread without a single reply.

Put some road 6 one mine
