Old yellow GS-911

Hi all, I kept my old GS-911 in case I got another bmw, now I have a 2024 1250RS, will this still work. With my bike, do I just need a 10 pin to OBD-2 lead? Will have a lot less functionally of the WiFi version? Or do I just wait and buy a WiFi version when I need it?

This is late, and you may have found the answers elsewhere already, but the yellow devices aren't meant for any BMW manufactured after 2012. The software protocol changes between CANBUS and CANBUS-LINBUS bikes were huge.
Also, a 2024 bike will have the OBD-II connector, not the round one. IIRC, the changeover date was sometime in 2017.
