I have a 1997 Omega seamaster Quartz in perfect condition no sign of wear anywhere, was serviced in 2025 with new battery and stainless steel strap at a cost of £600
it was bought from an ebay online shop and as such was verified and certificated by Ebay as genuine
I gave £2600 for it
Watchfinder say between £1800 to £2600 dependent on condition well this one really can not be faulted I have a 2025 Automatic which has only been worn 3 times and seriously is no better
£2000 posted Royal mail insured or would meet within 30 miles of Romford for a face to face exchange
Any interest I can whatsapp some photos over, its a lovely thing but ive got a few nice watches and this one just wont get worn as it should
Rob

Just found out from another member who knows a lot more than me about watches, that this example features a factory blue wavy dial in Excellent condition, This model also known as the first original model that features in the film The GoldenEye James Bond with Pierce Brosnan. not sure how you can tell but ive just checked and yes that is correct !!
I thought James Bond wore a Seiko but you live and learn !
Rob

James Bond first wore an Omega watch in GoldenEye (1995), starring Pierce Brosnan as agent 007. [1, 2]

Watch Details
    • Model: Omega Seamaster Professional Diver 300M (Quartz Reference 2541.80).
    • Special Features: In the film, Q equips the watch with a built-in laser cutter and a remote detonator trigger.
    • Historical Shift: This film marked the start of the franchise's long partnership with Omega, replacing Rolex as Bond's primary timepiece. [1, 2, 3]

Anyone for a very near Mint Omega Seamaster professional 300 that looks to be cheap checking ebay offer still applies anything wrong ill give a full refund, I doubt anyone would not be impressed with the condition
Rob

Sorry Dvros I am shite at pictures
Black face blue bezel im fairly sure but I will check when I get home
Rob

Yes Black face blue bezel my Automatic 2025 one is blue and blue
honestly boys this is really unmarked, its in beautiful condition and serviced in 2025 so no need for even a battery replacement for another 30 months and then its not expensive !
Rob

You fail to mention that when the light catches that wavy face, it just comes alive like the light catching the top of breaking waves.... mine is slightly older, but the wavy face is a signature of the Seamaster series. Just beautiful with the light on it.

Yes it really does, unlike any other watch, it truly comes alive, this is a really lovely very very good condition watch apart from the seriously minor desk mark on the clasp I fail to find a single mark on it, and remember the strap is under a year old and comes with the Nato type strap for those that prefer, looking around I think this is cheap, I thought the Automatic ones were worth more but looking at the likes of Ebay that does not seem to be the case maybe because of the long battery life or the inexpensive replacement cost ? or that they just keep better time than the Automatic ones ?
Rob

Automatic is very traditional and makes sense on a watch you wear nearly every day - and diver's watches are good for that because of the rugged and waterproof build. But if you wear it less regularly you may find it inconvenient to set the time so often. Quartz is capable of being very accurate and won't stop until the battery dies. (Automatic can also be incredibly accurate).

These are nice watches but can you please confirm the model number.

Model: Omega Seamaster Quartz Professional
Watch reference Number 196.1523
Serial Nunber 59451122
Still under warranty till July 2027

  • Brand & Model: Omega Seamaster Professional 300M
    • Reference Number: 196.1523 (often formatted as 196 1523)
    • Movement: Omega Quartz Calibre 1538 with quick date set
    • Case Size: 41 mm stainless steel case
    • Dial & Bezel: Dark Blue dial with luminescent dot/bar markers, date window at 3 o'clock, and blue rotating bezel ( Dial looks Black to me compaired with the 2026 model that I have also)
    • Bracelet: Stainless steel Omega Seamaster bracelet with a folding or scissor clasp
    • Water Resistance: 300 meters (1,000 feet)
    • Production Era: Late 1990s through the 2000s/2010s
    • Movement type: This specific reference is powered by a quartz (battery-operated) movement rather than an automatic or mechanical movement.
    • Second hand motion: Standard quartz Omega watches make a distinct one-beat-per-second "tick" motion, unlike mechanical movements which produce a rapid, high-beat-rate "sweep
Hope this hepls

" Automatics can be incredibly inaccurate as well!"

My Auto Seamaster is within 1/2 a minute a week , and thats after service. I've quite a few automatic watches from high end makers, and the only one thats spot on for accuracy is my old Rolex DateJust. Serviced 2 years ago and within, I recon, 2-3 seconds a month, but it wasn't always like that!
Quartz Seamaster does appeal to me for accuracy and also not having to stick it in the winder if I don't want to wear it! They are also a lot cheaper to service with Omega automatic seamasters north of £500 for a service.
GLWS. I would be quite happy to own this if I was after a Seamaster.
