On screens and helmets

I have been reading with interest threads about pros and cons of various screens mainly to do with buffeting and wind noise.

I am 6 ft and currently riding an 07 GS with a high and wide screen from NN which is a huge improvement from the original screen, however there is still quite a lot of buffeting and wind noise.

I have been using a system 5 helmet for the last couple of years and have been thinking of changing it for a 6. I didn't go for it in the end, mainly because I didn't like the way the visor closed and various negative comments I read on this site. Anyway I ended up getting a Shoei Multitech, the differance was amazing, gone is the buffeting, much less noise and I am now not looking to replace my screen! I am amazed that changing my helmet would make such a difference, I can now ride with my visor up at 70 mph no probs.

I've just bought a Multitech to replace my old Raid 2 which I wrote off in April. It's a very comfortable helmet but I've yet to try it at motorway speeds.

I bought a system 6 last year and am very satisfied; i used to have the GSA screen fitted on my previous GS and feel that the combination of standard GSA screen + system 6 is ideal (Anybody want to sell a GSA screen?)

I always wear earplugs, but my choice of helmet still has a dramatic effect on wind noise and buffeting. My Schuberth S1 Pro is considerably quieter than my C2
