Most people looking to buy a GS wouldn't be looking to go "scratching" on it :nenau :nenau

It's no fecking good at that. What i mean is, it's good for what it is, but it's no R1 or blade, or whatever's this months fashion bike in the knee slider world :D

It's a bit chuckable but the mags did blow it out of proportions a bit, I'm not gullable enough to believe ALL they say - but it's valid to mention in this area that it is not a knee slider machine, lets be honest with each other. Ta

Well, some more reasonable answers and some more pish.

Great thread Stank :thumb
I agree with a lot of what you type, and I love the way all the "boys" bite :) :rob

Being an old fart I very rarely ride my FJ1100 but it still makes me smile when I realise how Fecking quick it is and how far I can lean it over. :D

BUT I'd never part with my R90s or my R80g/s because there the best bikes I've ever owned :thumb :thumb :thumb
Besides the Big Beefy GS's are to bulky for little fat me :(

One thing I am is an engineering anorak. I love the boxer engine config (along with many others), it may be why I bought the bike + I'd never be nasty with a gentleman like yourself (pity you're a dying breed mate).

OK. I need an all-rounder that can corner better/like than an R1, Off road better than an enduro, cruise better than a cruiser and still make me feel good about tradition with some nosaligia? And you cnuts can't help :rob Shame on you ;) . Why should I have to purchase( by goodluck and hard work) 5 bikes in 2006 FFS :rob :96 Electra Glide, TTR 250, Norton Rotarys X 2 and an 1200GS
The GS would still ( after huge breast-beating) be the last to go, despite reliabilty  (mine anyway). Cant see anything better yet anyway: always happy for suggestions :thumb

An i'll show yer misses yon picture of you an they two burds in the pub ;)

I gotta agree - lack of speed/acceleration is what i dislike most about my Adventure - I sure do miss being on a sports bike & cracking the throttle open - YEEHAR - nothing like scaring yourself hehe !!!

Even my HP2 doesn't really do it for me when it comes to speed but as you say; all bikes are different. You can pick up old Exups for around the 1K mark and I'm seriously thinking getting one. Three years without being frightened is an awful long time ... i'm beginning to think i'm getting old :D

I bought a 1200 Daytona (147bhp) for £1500 for a bit of blasting, rode it 6 miles and pulled it apart to "modify" it. now if I could just get it back in one piece :P

I'm working on my next thread.

It's titled "Lesbian Muslem Tossers can't ride for toffee", it's less provocative than my last couple :thumb
