This young man is the son of a long time family friend.

Isaac deserves the best treatment and the best chance at a normal life.

Times are hard for sure, but not as hard as they are for this incredible young man and his family. Nobody deserves to be going through this - sadly he isn’t the first and won’t be the last but, let’s try and change that for the better.

With that, I'll hand over the prose to his sister ( Harriet) who is far better at this kind of stuff..:D

🎗TEAM ISAAC🎗

"The last few months have been the most difficult of my life so far.

A few months ago, my brother, Isaac, was diagnosed with a grade 4 brain tumour, the most aggressive and relentless type of brain cancer.

He’s being looked after by our wonderful NHS, but the treatments they can offer are not curative. They cannot kill all of the cancer cells and glioblastomas are renowned for growing back incredibly quickly.

It’s a race against time, and we have found a type of immunotherapy which has shown promising results for Isaac’s cancer, but is not available on the NHS.

We are seeking to raise £155,000 for Isaac to have this ground-breaking treatment and give him the best chance at life. It’s an ambitious target, but I’m not giving up anytime soon. Isaac means the absolute world to me.

I know times are incredibly hard at the moment, so any donation however small is greatly appreciated. Otherwise, if you can help by liking and sharing this page to your feed, we can help Isaac’s story reach as far and wide as possible.

Thank you in advance, everybody. Your support is truly appreciated."

Thanks for reading this far .

This is the Go Fund Me link ...

One for Isaac.

Many Thanks ..:beerjug:

I've a nephew called Issac; he's a complete arse, but I've donated anyway. Good luck.

Thanks fella's

It all helps.

He'll be amazed that people are caring enough to be donating from across the country.

Donated a few quid.

Its only the same as buying a couple of pints, but I hope they reach their target (currently at 28%).

GoFundme page is showing almost £80k

Keep it coming please..

I don't always donate to fund raisers for people I don't know but I have this time. I think on this occasion it's because this young man is a similar age to my brother when he died in 1979.
As well as trying to help this chap it would also be great to see if this treatment will work.
I am no expert but these immunotherapy treatments can work miracles in some patients. The doctors somehow manage to teach the immune system that the cancer cells are the enemy and the body then gets to work killing them. Amazing stuff.
Let's hope they reach the target.
Its good to see some many £5 and £10 donations, it just shows how important even small donations are.

Currently at £95k after four days. Wouldn’t it be great if they hit the target required, got treatment and it was at least life extending or ideally life saving. It’s a young man’s life at stake ffs.

Thanks once again fella's .... it has gone absolutely ballistic

I was sceptical about the Gofundme page and to be honest I didn't think it stood a chance of reaching 50K let alone more than 150K

Turns out that social media has come up trumps by the way small donations have been rolling in after 1 of Issac's friends posted a short video on TikTok
His sister was contacted by one of her old Cambridge chums who is now living in Australia and her socials have boosted the fund.

All that aside, it's the smaller donations that are making the difference ..fiver here, fiver there - no matter, it all counts. There are a few other things happening locally - it doesn't mean it has to stop !!

So Please, if you can :D

Done and best of luck to the lad. Fingers crossed for him.

Just had a lovely message of gratitude from his Sister, the fund is at £135k so if they raise the final £20k he can have treatment.

With all the shit going on lately, it’s good to have something to be optimistic about.

That's Nice to know.. (y)

Just had an update to say they are overwhelmed with the kindness of strangers. Against their expectations they have exceeded the amount they need to fund his treatment. What lovely humble people, I hope they get a positive outcome.

and hopefully it'll keep coming in from the various events ( coffee mornings / quiz night / football match and a Christmas Disco)..
The day that Issac starts Chemo' again his mates will be walking from King Power Stadium to the Clock Tower in Coalville (about 16miles)
Issac wants to do this with them - To make sure he has the best chance they will be taking a wheelchair with them
One of his mate's is doing a solo 200km push bike ride as well . Local pub has put together 3 hampers including a huge alcohol offering just in time for Christmas :). Raffles of various prizes all donated by local people and business will be run at coffee /football /quiz etc..

a short update for those watching..

The recent "Coffee & Cakes " morning had a great turn out and I should have some figures soon.
The following day ( Sunday 27/10 ) Team Issac walked from Leicesters King Power Stadium back to Coalville Clock Tower. (About 16 miles. Issac didn't need to use the wheel chair) They were well supported on their way back calling into a couple of pubs for a 'refresher' ( and a sit down if truth be told :giggle: ) One pub supplied Pizza's and another Mini burgers and fries, much to the delight of the participants. There were a couple of lads carrying donation buckets collecting impromptu donations on the way.

The raffle put together by the local pub with alcohol and food content hampers as prizes raised £870 .

Total so far is £166,181 with more events to come.. to include the football match / disco and others.

a raffle held 'down under raised £550 IIRC

Issac's mate did a solo /unsupported 200km cycle ride on Monday 21st Oct ..that raised £1275 ...... well done Jacob

THANK YOU to all
