Online backup services (multiple os/device) recommendations

Looking at these for 3 windoze pc's (Win7, 2x XP pro) 1 mac (os x), iPad, & android phone.

Seems to boil down to;
http://www.mypcbackup.com/ or their sister site http://www.justcloud.com/

or http://www.crashplan.com/

Any experiences or advice welcomed

I use Amazon S3 myself for data (not system) backup, it's quite cheap, although perhaps not as user friendly as some of the offerings you have. My concern with the proliferation of backup companies, some quite small, is that some of them are destined to go bust. Amazon seems less likely to suffer that fate.

I use CloudBerry to provide a friendly front end, but that is Windoze only. I do also sync data from my Mac and Android phone and tablet using Dropbox, and that is also backed up to S3.

I run the backups at night, as they tend to be quite slow given the limited up bandwidth on ADSL.

I have tried MyPC backup/justcloud.com today and was not impressed with it or their customer service trying to cancel was a nightmare, 7 e-mails later I have managed to dump them.

Even on an unlimited acct each device is an add on, whether it be pc, phone or NAS, as is bandwidth, only 1 backup a day unless you upgrade, the whole thing looks cheap till you get too deep

Their pricing structure is not that transparent until you get an account/subscription

Reading around these guys use Amazon S3 storage for their data as well by all accounts.

S3 is costing me $1 per 8GB per month, first 5GB free (at the moment) and a whole cent for read/write transactions for a daily backup. Plus VAT.

My data is somewhere on a server farm in Ireland.

Google 'S3 clients' for some ideas of how to implement your own solution.
