Our fellow brother Oonyack was sadly ripped off by Travellers/Tinkie Bast@rds/Gadgies (call them what you will). Anyway, they came to Johnny's house doing their usual rounds of the island looking for work. A well put-together port folio of previous work aroused Johnny's interest and after some careful negotiations, a price of 2k was agreed for the "workmen" to built some Japanese Decking at the rear of chez Oonyack.
Meanwhile, Johnny went off on his bike, leaving the Tinkie Tradesmen to built the decking as agreed. Foolishly (as he no doubt now realises), Johnny paid the Travellers in full before leaving.
Johhny returned just as the Tinkies, job completed, were heading off into the sunset in their Ford Transit van (Good runner/Mot'd for a year).
Here's a photo of Johnny on his new decking, trying to catch the attention of the tradesmen as they left the job, no doubt attempting to voice his dissatisfaction at the standard of work completed.
