Unfortunately i only get 3 months on the GS

Good choice - I did the same, only difference being...

... I couldn't bear to part with my R850R.

So I kept it!

New owners tip - delete thei forum from your bookmarks! It wont improve the reliability of your GS but it will stop you worrying about it half as much.

Paranoia sets in on here !! My '04 1200 has 22k miles now. gearbox 5k, fork seals 12k and engine cover 21k...............best bike i've ever owned, enjoy it, hope to see you out and about, now you can explore so much more
