Oops-bought an old shitter- collective thoughts required please .

Maybe the Sargent low is a bit taller than the BMW low

Other better option is to swap the shocks for 1150GS shocks and centre/side stands

That’ll drop the bike 2-3” and you will have a better seat to peg ratio with the Sargent normal seat

This is my GSA with 1150 GS shocks and stands, with the same Sargent seat that you have already ….Comfort uncompromised

Ta but don’t really want to change shocks as just had the rear refurbed by Denzo

Aha I see ….Understandable naturally

Corbin 1150 GSA seat is mega comfy and heated and is definitely lower than the standard Sargent we both have

Has both over the years and that should work for you

How does seat heating work ? Does it need a switch wired in or is it part of the seat ?

Edited to add I’ve just seen it’s built in

The easiest option might be to refit the slightly lower Hagon shock that came with the bike . Bit annoying having got Denzo to service the OE shock.
He also said that the latter is better than the Hagon.

AS JB says, fit GS shocks Ohlins or Wilbers and gain some leg height

You could try the Hagon for fit and height

If you like it you could search out some GS shocks which may be same height as Hagon

Actually I might be mistaken but will the adventure seat fit a standard GS ?
No
Not without a different GSA silver rack and seat fittings

Only the Touratech single seat will fit on a 1100/1150 GS….One on eBay uk at present - pretty rare now

You have to remember that bikes are sizeist... Us lanky twats waited years for appropriately sizes motorbikes after having to endure miniature Japanese versions and then along come inadequately sized people demanding these ADV bikes be tailored to fit them... It's not right...!😉 We'll have to stand up for our rights...! OK Perhaps it's you guys who need to stand up... Tip toes perhaps...👍

😂

SHOCKING NEWS !

Removed OE shock.

It’s about an inch longer than the Hagon.

Refitted the Hagon and it’s perfect . That inch or so makes a huge difference. Instead of being on tip toe on both feet I can now get the balls of my feet firmly down so much more manageable.
Hate getting old 😜

Thanks for all your thoughts and advice , but the answer was simple.
Not going to bother upgrading to anything better as it’s fine for my needs and I’m taking it to reside in Brittany next month for the occasional potter when I’m there in car with wife and mutt.

Away on the bike for the first time .

She runs very well and now very comfy .
Only slight issue is screen is crap, at least compared to my Vstrom 1050 . It’s rather noisy , though I did forget my earplugs .

Is that the standard screen I’ve got and would an MRA lip thing help ? The screen is angled back quite a bit so deflects airflow and buffet into my helmet .

Yes you have the standard screen. MRA is probably the best and really cuts down the wind noise and buffeting, although you have to also buy the standard 1150GS windscreen mounts (Motoworks) I’ve got tobinators on mine ….. a rare find now.

What ya done with the original shock ? You want to sell it ? Is take its a ADV one ?

That’s if it’ll fit an 1150GS .

Having done a search I think it will

I’m keeping it as if/when I sell the bike it’ll be an option for the new owner .
