Oops-there are now three Hondas in my garage.

Hope you're mates transition to upstairs isn't too painful (if I understand you correctly)
Thanks. So do we.
He had pancreatic cancer earlier this year and had an 11 hour operation .Nearly lost him during surgery.
The surgeon was sure she got it all out but just to be sure he had intensive chemo for 6 months which hit him hard , and gave him very sore hips and numb hands.
Anyway, he thought he was out of the woods but a couple of months back he had bad stomach pain again and blood tests showed raised cancer markers.
A scan then revealed the cancer is now in his stomach and lungs.
He’s back on chemo but being realistic and knows his days are numbered.
Loveliest bloke you could ever meet. Only 54. Had over 200 bikes and never saved for a rainy day.Turns out he probably didn’t need to but we’re hoping for a miracle.
Cancer is a complete cünt.

Winters are pretty mild here. Roads are never salted/gritted unless we get an actual dump of snow which is about once a decade.

Feels nice and light when riding or moving it around. It’s not light at 203 kgs but certainly feels it....

....Lovely to have a 4 cylinder again
Nice you have ridable winters just bundle up and go.

Once they start spraying brine or throwing salt on the roads I pretty much stop riding. I may take a bike out for a brief ride during a warm spell (usually the XT250) but definitely hose it down well before putting it away.

£6k seems like a steal for that motorcycle, here they list for $10,000 + state sales tax, probably minus some discount for a leftover on the floor.

LOL 200kg is very light compared to your Goldwing. 4-cylinder Japanese motorcycles are iconic.

No VAT here . Think bike is £7700 in UK and £6800 here but they were doing a deal to clear a few bikes as they’re mainly a Honda car dealer .

Zero farkles fitted. And not planning on fitting any 😜

Went out on it again . It’s rather nice , especially with a few more notches of preload and with the correct tyres pressures set 🤔

Got £800 off it and promised a good deal next spring on a CB1000F should I want one after a demo ride somewhere .

It’s a lovely thing to ride and the e-clutch is brilliant . Like a very slick quick shifter but it won’t stall . Much simpler than DCT but Honda only charges £100 premium to fit it.

It’s quite clever in that you can tailor the gear change feel to your own preference.

Not had a 4 cylinder bike since my H2 SX SE in 2018 ish.
The 650 is a lovely motor. Puts out 94 bhp but needs revving to exploit the power .
Should be a fun toy for a few potters out for coffee etc .
Fit and finish is pure Honda and I love the green colour.
So that’ll be three Hondas in the garage and not one traditional manual between them .
Only 94 bhp?(someone has to be first);)
Enjoy!

It was a 2024 colour , still in uk configurator

I see for 2026 they’re doing a Matt Blue Jeans , same colour as my Wing

Ah, the old 'Configurator Ploy' at work again!

How silly of me to only look at their featured page for the bike and available colours...the page where they hope to capture and inspire!

(And yes, the green is a great colour!)

That arse end is just wrong - I know you said you won't do any farkling but that would benefit massively with the addition of a tail tidy

How would it benefit ? Will it ride any differently ?

Of course not, ur riding it

I really can’t see why so many people get hung up on the looks of a standard rear end of a bike, fit a tail tidy which then allows the mud to splay up their arse, then ruin any ‘gain’ by fitting a huge yellow number plate.

I think it looks great. They’ve even incorporated fins into it .
If I was spending any money on the bike it would be on heated grips .

LOL to show how dated I am if I was to add anything to the bike it'd probably be a wider rear mudguard and extension to the front mudguard to keep some of the road splash off the bike and my back. Maybe heated grips as well. Don't get me wrong I like the looks of some of the sport bikes with minimal mudguards or removed entirely but that's for them to keep clean, I often ride on gravel and dirt roads.

That hideous narrow number plate hanger isn't going to keep any crap off the rider, it's only there to comply with rules that state the number plate has to be further back than the rear wheel. A decent hugger will help keep crap from plastering the rider. That standard small hugger is only there to protect the rear shock from road crud.
