Hi all,

Just a quick bump for this as it is this Sunday. As an added incentive, John, Ros & Wilf from www.hochalmspitze.com will be there too! If you want to know about touring in southern Austria these guys are the ones to talk to.

So, free bacon rolls, 10% discount AND a chance to plan a trip across Europe with all your new bling.

As usual, no commercial connections here. I am friends with Cliff & Jenny as well as the Hochalmspitze gang and want them to have every success and for Tossers to benefit too. :)

Ooopps. Sorry. The website is almost identical and the name too....I'll pay more attention in future:blast Have a good day anyway...too far for a free bacon roll:D

Hi all,

Great day today with a good mix of people and bikes. Nice to finally meet Mr Wapping, an emotional reunion with the inimitable Noddy and chats with lots of other folks too. A welcome contribution from the Gasthof Hochslmspitze too!

Next stop the NEC where Mr and Mrs Monty will be working with The Grey One and the rest of the Hochslmspitze gang telling people how lovely Austria is. :)

Matt

A nice little morning out in the car.

A well ridden GS (with suitable panniers) failed to keep up or overtake me in the twisties (or around the roundabouts) on the way up; I guess it was the damp roads. :D :augie :hide

Good to catch up with Noddy, Neil DD, The Grey One and Monty. I even managed to reacquaint with the delights of Wally's cafe, where I haven't been for about three years.

Everyone really needs to see Wally's in the approach to Christmas. The decorations are very tasteful. Was it in full festive swing yet?

I am waiting for the photo of you and John to appear on the wanted poster soon...

Wally's was untouched as yet with festive joy.

Is old Wally himself still alive? He used to get V pissed off if too many customers appeared at once.

He was not there the last time I went in, but that was a while ago. I tend to go to Cafe Jaqui in Sudbury these days as their meat products are rumoured to actually contain some meat.

I feel a breakfast ride coming on...

Great to meet up with you guys today, oh how the years pass so quickly.

Couple of mysteries for you from today. What is the destination of the 40' container and how did the train get there.

Re the latter, have checked Google Earth maps back to 1944...........no evidence of a rail or spur line.

Sounds Good, let us know if you venture to Cafe Jaqui's here in far flung Sudbury. Cheers:beer jug:John B
