Operation Emerald Escape

And the Gazelle would exceed MTOW if the pilot had more than a pain au chocolate.

Nae idea how I've missed this and this is a to do list item.

I've got a question though, why south first and not north ?

I was thinking of headjng north from Belfast.

Anyway

Having had Brunchinner we head out and make our way generally North then west looking to pick up the WA road.

Passing Mullaghmore I have a recall moment.

I visited years ago to see the site of Mountbattens assassination.

Not dwelling on that, let’s pin it to Donegal for a brew

Keep it dirty side down troops.....

Hi mate. Purely because the weather looked better turning left in Belfast rather than right

It gets better too ......

So we pass through Donegal and nowhere jumps out at us for a brew so crack onto the coast road heading west.

Amazing views again on our left, I see a sign for Killybeg which sounds quite nice, lets give that a go.

The road there is fab.

On arrival in village we bimble about then happen upon a real treat. CM Loones.

Lovely cafe and deli right on harbour.

And its sunny, and it has a table outside, and I get to do my David Brent impersonation.

A good stop for sure.....

And just to show all you cynical bastards that I'm actually all sweetness and romance............

Sometimes you meet someone who is....

Pretty

Clever

Witty

Humble.......

So off we roar.

It would be fair to say that this stretch was fantastic.

Zero traffic.

Great weather (not so wild)

Great roads.

We include a blast through the Glenveagh National Park, very nice too.

Having a great time, bike runs a dream, so much so that I hardly took any photos.

We find a small harbour and stop for lunch.

At same time I book a hotel just this side of Londonderry, looks good and again great value.

Im looking forward to being in NI again as I know it well, oh and we can have coffee inside :okay

This area is a must do, I rate it better than the NC 500 personally.

Due to Covid restrictions indoor dining is not allowed.

However the Irish government have specially erected miles of 'covid safe' benches you can rest up on.

View not bad either.
