I’ve just sold my Optimate 4 Canbus as it’s not suitable for Lithium and bought the BMW charger plus for £81 which was cheaper than buying the Quad Optimate.

I have an Optimate 6. I've had it over 10yrs. I got a motorbike 3yrs ago with a lithium battery. I rang Optimate UK and ask them if my charger was good for a lithium motorbike battery. They confirmed it was. I used it no issues.
My only point being, ring Optimate and ask them re your charger.

One reason I’ve bought the BMW Charger Plus is the amount of fires caused by Lithium batteries. If the Lithium battery was on the options list I wouldn’t have ticked it. There’s plenty of examples of lead acid batteries failing in recent BMW’s, mine lasted 14 months, so I hope they’ve secured a reliable source for the Lithium.
If my bike goes up in flames I want to be able to say I used the right charger, connected the way recommended by BMW.
There were plenty of offers on the BMW charger plus, I got mine for £81 delivered from Cotswold BMW, though I’ve noticed they are going up.

I think not, which is why the PLUS was brought out.
There’s one of those on eBay just now used for £84 including post and I’ve just paid £81 for brand new PLUS from Cotswold BMW on eBay.

Are the Battery Tender brand sold there? They offer a Junior version that charges both lead acid/agm and Li. Street price here is $40.

Where is the DIN socket on the new 1300? Mines getting delivered this week and my current Optimate won't be suitable, but that one on eBay look to only have the crocodile clips or the DIN plug, but in none of the videos I've seen of the 1300 does it show a DIN socket anywhere and they doesn't "seem" to be one up front on the dash.
