Hi, I am about to use an Optimate to leave on trickle charge for the bike to keep the battery alive during the winter. I'm going to connect a permanent lead with a
connector loose just under the seat for easy access without taking the seat off every time I want to charge up.

Does anyone know , if I disconnect the battery to quickly wire it in, will all my settings/info be lost on the instrument panels, [I've got the on board computer/abs etc]

anything else to look out for??

What settings, info, are you concerned about ?
No probs with removing the battery.

You'll have no problem at all, disconnected my battery to install the Optimiser lead for my trickle, it makes no difference to anything.

I've done it myself with no probs.A few cable ties will keep things tidy.

Fit a handy accessory socket to the rear subframe (seal the connections with self amalgamating tape).
