Optimate connector supplier required

I'm after the lead from the accessory socket to an Optimate battery charger which would seem quite a simple thing to get hold of.
But after 4 weeks of waiting for the local BMW dealer to get one for me I have come to the conclusion that they're either very inefficient or else completely uninterested. I've been in to chase it up and rang them several times and always get told they'll ring me back but they never do.
It's for a 650 so it's slightly time consuming to get access to the battery to charge it without this lead although it's hardly a major problem but the connection lead would be quite nice to have.
So, supplier details gratefully received.

I got one off the shelf from my local small bike shop and have bought one off the shelf from Heine Gericke before. They look very like connectors I saw in Halfords a while ago and I bet Maplins or the like have the same type of plugs/sockets.

They may be Optimate specific but even then it's probably cheaper to cut off the optimate one and make up your own leads !

One of the cheapest sources of the connectors I found was the local model shop as the Optimate III leads are the same as Tamiya R/C Battery connectors. Certainly was cheaper than Maplins.

i just bought a gs 1150 and the guy said that i should get a hold of one Optimate charger...im planning to ask one of my colleages to buy me one in UK....aside from the charger...i think i will need a cord that i can plug to the gs socket and connect to the optimate....any idea what is the cords name or model etc...the bloke is not a biker so i will need to be specific with him...

One of the cheapest places to get an Optimate and the accessories, it's a Lawnmower/gardening type site, the connector pictured fits fag lighter and M/bike sockets and they're good on their delivery times as well

I bought mine from a local Yamaha dealer. Failing that try eBay.

i took the lead with the ring terminals that came with it and changed the ring terminals for the (think they are refered to as hella style) plug that fits that i got from a local motor factors. Bm
