Has anyone had an 1150 single spark from new (2002) sort of era, that is totally standard, ie Cat etc and has never had a CCP fitted from new ?

Just to satisfy my curiosity ...
Thanks

I've had my 1150gs since new (Sept 2001) and it has a CCP fitted - same one it came with. I've never tried running it without it.
Bike still has the cat fitted.
I thought (assumed) they all had them fitted?

Cheers.......................Grizzly:beerjug:

Thanks Grizzly, I was sure I'd heard from somewhere that some didn't have them fitted. But I may be wrong too !!!
Nice to hear from you by the way, hope you're keeping well ...

(What colour CCP by the way ?)

I've had my 1150 single spark since buying it new in March 2001. Standard apart from a 'stubby' in place of the standard silencer, cat still fitted. 108,000, approx 30,000 with the stubby fitted. Runs sweet.

Had my twin spark all standard since 2003 and it hasn't had one from new, having said that, I did the CCP mod cos It was pinking. All is fine now.

Is that with, or without a CCP please ?

My 02' s/s with Cat had the yellow CCP fitted and was totally standard, I then went on to fit the K&N, decat and end can and chip.

Bought my single spark GS new in March 2002. Still has cat and standard can. About 60k up and runs well (it is one of three bikes, 1150gsa twinspark and r1200gsa are the other two). It is the slowest of my bikes...off to Cambridge on it tomorrow.

Meant to say no ccp fitted. I fiddled with connecting different pins (which is all the ccp does)...no great changes.

A way to look at this is that there are 8 sets of about 80 data tables. The 8 sets are numbered 0 to 7. Therefore, no plug is really a "plug" whose value = 0. The Yellow Plug has a value of 2. "No Plug" selects the 80 data tables in set "0" and a yellow plug selects a different set of 80 tables of data.
