Since I've had a desktop with Vista32b on it, I've never been able to get outlook to sync with my email accounts. I've tried all sorts to no avail.
Yesterday I thought feck it, I'll download a trial of office 2007.
The same email accounts now work fine with this version.
My laptop runs XP and office XP and I've never had any problems with that.
Has anyone else had a similar problem with vista32 and office/outlook XP?

Lots of earlier versions of Outlook have problems with Vista, mainly around the fact that usernames and passwords are not saved properly. Google your problem and you will find lots of issues out there. One answer is to go with Outlook 2007 (and later) or you can just use the free Windows Mail client (updated Outlook Express) that comes with Vista. Or if you want, there are free non Microsoft email clients that you can download.

I believe that you will find that office XP (2002) is neither supported or fully compatible with Vista, while both 2003 / 7 are - :nenau
