Oxford???

Oxford pants landed today, i won’t be keeping them and sending them back due to the sizing.

The material was what I’d expect for laminate, it was a tad softer than my Klim kodiaq pants but you would know it was laminate.

I’m a size 36 waist in normal jeans and bought a size 38 in these. They are a snug fit hence why they are going back. I like the waist slightly loose for comfort when I sit.

A little baggie in the legs.

The braces were a nice fit and design, and the pants do have a nice thermal liner.

For a sale price of around €180-€240 they are a good purchase but for me the sizing wasn’t right so they are going back

Thanks for the mini-review (review beag)

Seem to be clearing out the Hinterland Range.......I wonder is there a Hinterland II on the way??

Sent with a Zen10

I reckon so, with some small changes they would be top class.

Zip or buttons on the ankle would be nice rather than Velcro. Pocket on the thigh could be moved to the side rather than front. More of a tapered fit would be nice to remove the excess materials from the knee down.

I’m being a moany bugger saying that as they are value for the sale price !

I advertised on here for a BMW TourShell jacket. One of the guys did the business for ... £120 iirc? Superb jacket. It's never let a drop of rain in and has good armour also. Combined with a pair of Atlantis breeks (treated myself and bought new) the overall package is warm, comfortable and safe.

On cold days in winter, I use a leccy jacket bought from here also. In summer the TourShell is replaced with a lightweight Held jacket with air panels. Bought sh also but not off the forum

I've an air vest too, bought from here, although I tend not to wear it. I'll have a word with myself!

Just ordered some new Hinterland pants. I was a stickler for “goretex” gear in the past but seems I have been paying for the name.

This could be a new venture, as much as I love the Klim gear I hate their pant sizes
I think one pays for the guarantee - my Klim jacket started leaking after 5 years and I was sent a brand new, updated version with no quibbles.
I’ve had other waterproof systems which have worked just as well

I just bought a Hinterland jacket and pants .
You said you bought a size 38 but they are sold in L, XL etc .
I bought a 2XL jacket and XL Long pants and the fit is perfect for me with a 46” chest and 36” waist .

I ordered the level 2 dynamic armour and got the whole lot delivered for under £400 ,absolute bargain .

Very pleased with it . Doesn’t feel as stiff as my previous Rukka Nivala and cost 1/10 the price

Yep, used their size chart to work out the waist size. Definitely great value for the price !

I bought Oxford Mondial kit end of 2019. It has been very well tested in all weathers, on a trip upto Scotland it rained heavily for about 7 hours and kept me dry, i was very surprised it held out, unlike my mates Richa Goretex suit.
Last year one of the cuff zips started playing up so i bought another on sale from SBS. The only real issue i have with it is the coller is a little short. It means it can be a little cold around the neck and if youre wearing a buff in rain it gets wet and can wick into the suit.
Im toying with getting the Stormland which has the detachable collar and a higher safety rating. I think Oxford have really upped their game in the last few years.

Same here first gen. Streetguard jacket in very good condition...£50. Only used when very cold. However worth looking on eBay, some dealers have crazy deals with "Offer" option. Brand new, reduced from £1145 to £400. Cracking jacket and the 2024 model if you don't mind the colour.
