P&O to cease Portsmouth to Bilbao

P&O has announced it is ending the Portsmouth to Bilbao service from 27 September 2010, see http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/hampshire/8461624.stm

Personally I preferred the Brittany Ferries service but competition is good for keeping costs down. Brittany is ramping up its service on this route with four sailings per week to Spain from Portsmouth and Plymouth.

Shame to see it go, it was very convenient for us and the crossings days always worked better than Brittany. Just booked my last trip on it out Fri 21/5 for a 2 week trip to the desert, by Pan
