Pacific North West National Parks and Yellowstone.

well, i emailed them saying i would like to go ahead with the cover as quoted ( i got a quote in march) to see what i got back. i have received an email back telling me they will process it nearer to the effective date ie. july / august :nenau

Just being nosey...i went on a Bilco trip a couple of years ago, using Motorcycle Express for my insurance.
I paid $280 plus $60 service charge for the month but with much lower limits to keep costs down.
It looks like they sting you if you go for the max cover so if have a concern about cost,it may be worth trimming cover.

Aye, appreciate the thought, the problem is I'm risk averse. Trouble is I'm also spending averse. Not a good combination, lol.

I've gone for the middle cover at $490 plus $60 fee, how does that compare to your quotes?

Premium: $610.45
Service Fee: 60.00
Total: US Dollars: $670.45

Last minute availability..?

I really hope you can join us, there could be quite a Chapter (ahem) from Lincolnshire. Or, as we'll be in the Wild West, would it be more appropriate to call ourselves a Posse?

Lol. All as clear as mud. Hey ho I've decided to take a chill pill on it. WTF, it's only money & there's no pockets in shrouds.

We've gone for the middle cover too at $394 + $60...... sorted it all out in March with payment to be taken 3 months before policy start date, so I guess that'll be taken out in the next couple of weeks & I assume that as we agreed before 1st April, we've not suffered any premium increase.

I wonder why I'm $100 more, when you are a 'we' and I'm just an 'I' :(

Tony is right - this is just bike & rider cover.... I use the proverbial "we" as I'm typing on Paul's behalf!

You are not the wrong side of 50 Jo - that's probably why yours is more expensive, plus a difference between KTM & BMW perhaps?

Sam :)

That surprises me that pillions don't need to be insured given it's a where there's blame there's a claim culture over there, but good news for you guys :)

Some of us have been away all week keeping the wheels of industry rolling :augie so I'll fire off an e-mail to Motorcycle express a wee bit later on and see what's what.

The problem with Motorcycle Express is they have no competition that I have ever found.

Phil, you will get an e-mail with details:thumb2

All hotels added to 'Favourites'. Do we know which hotel we're staying in in Vancouver WA yet?

Not yet but it will be a cheap and cheerful one as we will only be there a few hours:thumb2

If you've all received the email from Chris about the new insurance. Just to let you all know, it is slightly cheaper. I've gone for the highest cover they offer plus roadside assistance and it comes out at $458 insurance and $34 roadside. It doesn't mention anything about admin costs. It's 30 days cover from 1st September. Price may vary on age of bike that's all. :clap
