Hi all,

Was out and about today on my 1150 gsa and the girlfriend was complaining about the bmw top box bracket with box fitted digging in her back if she leaned back, has anyone done some sort of mod like padding etc to make it more comfortable for the passenger? as i am planning our first trip to france/spain this year i thought i would try and get something sorted!

thanks in advance

They do a two piece spongy thing ,no idea how much it cost I have one on mine ,keeps the war department happy:):)

ah yes something like that, but for my 1150 metal panniers would be perfect!
it might be a trip to bmw i guess, was thinking about asking one of the seat trimmers about something along those lines too!

someone must have had one made up on here before?

I had same oproblem and bought a backrest pad off ebay for about £6 and bolted it to topbox - SWMBO says is very comfortable. There are a few for sale, especially for scooters (suggest perhaps not one with a Mod target on it!) like this.

excellent idea! i will have to find a way to fasten it without drilling holes into the top box!!

sounds like it will do the job! backrest pad ordered i guess i should order the tape now too!!
