hiya all, was cleaning the bike today after just coming back from a trip round Scotland, and noticed ive either picked up a chip, or the paint is starting to come off me front alloy wheel, now I knew from the start that the wheel finish was some what based on chocolate:blast, and to be honest, id always planned on havin em powder coated, but just not yet, anyways, does anyone happen to have a colour name of code for the matt/satin shade of graphite grey for the alloy wheels on the lc, mines a 2014, but I think the 2013's are the same, if I can just touch it up for now ill be happy:thumby:, not that I fookin shud be on a bike so new:blast, but lets not go there:blagblah

Check with your dealer.:thumb But, I'm seriously considering getting mine powdercoated black. Bloody Ding-Dong.:rob:D

They look the same graphite grey colour as the head covers to me. If they are then the code I believe is M963 graphite grey.

Ye, I was thinkin the rocker covers are the same shade of grey, dunno whether they look slightly more glossy tho in comparison? , gotta be worth a shot tho!, will try the stealer first tho, u never know! I considered black powder coat, but I think a similar shade to what they are now would be better, but maybe glossy finish instead of matt/satin

Rung a few dealers tday and although they did struggle to find it they all came up with m963, trouble is now, I rang a load of paint suppliers and not one of em could find any refrence to m963!, back to the drawing board!

A good paint shop will use a spectrometer to "read" the colour and then mix their own paint. So paint codes are irrelevant.

The paint for the "Grey rocker cover on my 2013 LC is from RS Paints, [email protected] and the colour is "WB BMW35210 Silver", you also need the Satin Lacquer as a top coat. For touch up it comes in 25ml pots but they can supply bigger quantities. I sent them the BMW code and I thought "silver?" but I can assure you that it is a perfect match for the "grey rocker covers" I had to touch up the rocker cover, nasty chip on there top, dropped bar end weight on it FFS:blast Can't see where the chip was now.

Thanks for that. I just looked on their website and for the 2013 model they list the four panel colours, silver for the engine and another silver(bike colour). Is the other silver the one that matches the rocker cover ? and presumably the alloy wheels ?

I did email them the other day and the reply I got said they didn't do a paint for the wheels.

The rocker cover paint AFAIK is not listed on the website. I gave them the M code and they sent me what I listed earlier and it worked. Don't know if it will match the wheels but it's not to expensive to try it and anyway you're bound to need it one day for the rockers! If I get time this weekend I'll touch up a small piece of ally and put it against the wheels and see if it's the same colour.
