I noticed a paint chip on the left hand side of the tank:
Stone chip I thought. Unusual but better get it fixed.
Then as I parked up I noticed that it was wear coming from the left hand switchgear rubbing on the paint when on the side stand:
This is an April 3013 bike. Out of original warranty but extended warranty was purchased.
So self-inflicted by the bike not me! So advice please:
a) best way to fix the paint?
b) best way to stop it happening?
It's got to go in for a service at the dealers in the next couple of weeks. Any guess at their cost if there is no help from BMW? (Bahnstormer in Maidenhead).
Thanks
