I am intending to just buy a new pair of horrible shiny black ones. Easier and maybe cheaper than getting them powder coated.
Thinking of putting the round ones on, but remembered your comment. Was the one that got a crack in it a pattern or original BM made one?
I told you it was good stuff![]()
i do hope so..My Mono's got the round covers on. I came a cropper at Bakermans do a couple of years ago - put some real gouges in the left hand cover, apart from the gouges the round cover stood up really well.
Were they the BM or pattern ones Rob? And do you think the pattern ones are weaker?
Mine are the pattern ones. The square covers are supposed to be stronger but how do you gauge it?

Bit hard I guess as most won't want to try destruction testing on perfectly good covers
Best I get the shiny ones![]()

).Timolgra led me into a trap up in those Welsh hills and I did a forward roll/half turn/backflop on my G/s...ended up dazed and oil phissing out the rocker. Took one hell of a smack ( so did Tim later !! ) and this piece of branch was rammed in tightly to get me home...lasted about 200 miles and I still have the rocker as a spare !! I think as Rob says, how do you measure the strength between a round and a square rocker. I'm thinking of modding my G/S in the spring so round rocker covers will be ordered and I have a marling exhaust buried up in the loft somewhere..so the side panels may go into storage as well !! ( All this subject to the rath of Proff)

If they`re the `orrible boxy rectangular ones,he`d be better off slinging them in the nearest wheelie bin and fitting some lovely round ones.
One of the better visual improvements you can do to an Airhead![]()
. Pattern ones completely OK IMHOThat really is about the difference.
Some say the OE ones don't warp like the patern parts and some say blah blah blah !!
Depends how much you love your airhead. Pattern ones completely OK IMHO
Ask on here first, some folk may have them for sale![]()
