The alternator cover paint is peeling off (due to stone chip damage) does anyone make a cover for it or is it best to repaint or polish it ?:beerjug:

What model bike do you have?

You could just paint, bu tit,s going to carry on chipping.

Boxer-design do some nifty toys including carbon-fibre replacement parts...worth a look http://www.boxer-design.de

hope this helps

You should do what I do.Dont wash the bike, get it boggin and no one will see the paint peeling.

paint peeling off alternator cover.....

One of my first accessories (in 3 whole weeks of ownership) was a "extenda fenda" it's a mudguard extension and stops most of the crud thrown from the front tyre hitting the engine. From BMW it's probably expensive, from Hein Gericke at cardiff it was £15,comes with self tappers and double sided tape/sealing strip-gotta be a bargain!
Also-fitted tonight, purely cosmetic-clear indicator lenses, (with orange bulbs) from "motor works",looks quite fetching on my "silver" adventure! £2 per lense and 85p per bulb another bargain?
