Is anyones bike showing paint wear on the side panel below gloss black panels….I have only done around 600miles and I don’t think I grip the side panels that much and already showing wear which to be honest is very disappointing.

Does any one know where aftermarket protection is available. Would show picture but no idea how to attach

Not noticed anything on mine

Nippy Norman’s sell protection kits but they’re pricey, you could probably cut your own from some generic film

Had mine 3m covered by Tony James designs , no issues as the film protects the paint . Ridden in all conditions.
This ^^^^^^ I had a warranty claim on my 2020 1250GS TE Exclusive where the one tank panel was quite marked up before it even went in for it's first service. Cotswold recommended TJD and he covered my tank panels onsite. I had no problems at all after that and traded it in nearly 4 years later still looking mint. I've had my RS done too and can thoroughly recommend Tony, he's a top bloke and a perfectionist. As a word of caution I got a kit from NN and it's vynal, NOT 3M paint protection film. The vynal is cheap in comparison and stiffer than the 3M stuff and similar if not the same as helicopter tape so is more difficult to apply.

Much like anything else you get what you pay for.

Mine was marked after 1 ride, and I know TeaPotOne had the same issue. I have bought some 3M film and cut it to match the panel shape to protect it. I did mention it to the dealer and the response was it was my riding style linked to my motorcycle trousers!!

The paint it too thin!!!

Resin bike in Italy works great for me.the red is not a perfect match but the rest is . Available from amazon or ebay

Agreed paint is to thin plus I don’t really grip tank and never had any issues with my RR’s with the paint in the tank and my legs gripped it more!

Can you send me link to where u bought the 3m Film, if that’s okay
