Painted or Powder Standard Wheels

Hello everyone,

I've just been looking at the motard convert GS 1200 with the black K1200S wheels, think it looks great.

However I would prefer to stay standard.

Has anybody had the standard R1200GS wheels painted or powder coated black , are there any problems with this and do you have any photo's I can have a look at.

I had my RT/ST wheels powder coated gloss black for $75 for both wheels. You can only powder coat one time over existing powder coat per the painter. I used an industrial powder coater since there is really no skill involved and the prices are much, much less. They came out beautiful and seem to be as hard as a rock.

Dunno prices where you are, but powcercoating a rim is about £75 in Norn Iron (or it was last time I looked, anyways). Go see you local chav alloy wheel specialist
