Pannier advice needed please

I'm looking at buying a new F800 GS (2013 model). Now I like the look of the black vario panniers on the standard model, however I notice that on the Adventure models they have preparation for panniers fitted already.

What i want to know is, are these just for the aluminium adventure panniers or could I purchase a set of black vario panniers to go straight onto these fittings on an adventure model?

I suppose what I am saying is are the fittings on the bike the same for the vario panniers and the adventure aluminium ones or are they different?

I'm new here, so any advice gratefully received.

The fittings ...

... for the plastic expanding panniers are different to those used for aluminium boxes; at least they are on Jaqs F650GS Twin
