Pannier found on the road. (R1200GS) A352 wareham road Dorset near Winfrith.
If any of you here of someone who has lost it let me know.

One off you road by me today with said box missing.

Not mine but wondered if you we're signed up with CW Motorcycles rider club? If so might be worth posting on there or giving them a call and asking someone to stick it on their news digest :nenau

Hello veefore. Did call CW and put them in the pic back in March. Didn't think Id still have it all this time id be gutted if i lost mine. Will keep my eyes open now the weathers getting better. they mite get out and about more. (panniers so clean I dont think they get out a lot.)

Re found property unless it is a firearm, something illegal (drugs etc) , readily identifiable ie a wallet and cards a sum of cash or the finder refuses to hang on to it then it is NOT seized by Police.
It is retained by the finder and unless the loser reports it to the Police the finder gets to retains it.

It sounds like a good reason for putting ID stickers under all bike luggage cases (just in case).

I'll take it of the owner can't be found.

Cant be too early for first dibs. ;)

Seized?
Simply handed in would more likely see it's return to its rightful owner. Why would they not contact the police to see if it had been handed in?
Certainly the first place I'd think of checking if something fell off my vehicle, not random Internet forums...

Anyway, it was a roundabout way of asking drunkpig "you have reported it to the police haven't you?" without directly asking him "are you that stupid to have not reported it to the police?" but...

So you've had it for how long without reporting the find to the obvious people??

I'd be pretty unchuffed if it were mine too... :nenau
