Hi

Looking at getting a set of pannier frames for my R1150 GSA , quick question

Whats the best to go for in respect of keeping the stock exhaust and then not sticking the panniers out too far , i have 8inch Ardcases which i use on the tenere....

Holan . i have a set of these on my Tenere and they seem good , got them off Rodger ,

Touratwat :) , Expensive

Givi

Any others ?

Also if anyone has a set for sale of any of the above let me know :thumb

Also saw a set of genuine adventure pannier frames on ebay, but not sure what they are  , hepco / becker ? , could this be used with ard cases , they seem to have a mechanism in the id of the loop

"Genuine BMW" 1150GSA pannier frames will only take the BMW panniers. They are bloody wide too.

I still think that the Touratech Special-set in either 41 or 32 litre is the best fit with a standard silencer. The version with a circular recess for silencer loses about 2 litres and the shape means no real loss of capacity.

MiGsel has a set for sale, I think that the price is a bit steep even though Migsel's stuff is usually in tip-top condition and in this instance, includes the locks etc (usually extra cost).

He may be open to offers.

go for a set of Rogers ardcases put them on my 1150gsa and they are great , better than the BMW ali cases I had on previously :thumb2

Hepco & Becker is a very good solution for panniers also. I use them on my '04 GSA and are very good with very good quality also.

ive got some Cajas

I bought these from civil, i quite like them, i lose the rest of the tribe thru the traffic, they all get stuck..
These are City bags, they are thinner than normal. But i seem to fit it all in.
I think Vern also makes city bags too.

You've already got a set off Roger AKA ARD cases, so why not just get a set of Holan frames (about £160) and use your cases off the Yam' ?

Neil

Yes , indeed , just was seeing if there was a cheaper alternative as the Givi's are £90.00 , At the end of the day it's only some steel tubing :) if i could bend and make the hoops i would make em myself.

Waiting for Rodger to come back to me , in effect you have and i have answered my own question :blast:D

Thanks

Paul
