Pannier Help

I need some swift responses please with regard to the gs adventure aluminium panniers.

I am due to pickup my GS on thursday from the bmw dealer and they want to fleece me the full price for 2 panniers and top box.

Does anyone have or know of anyone that has the full set for sale or alternatively just the sides, or where you can get a proper discount on them.

Yes, kinda asked a few questions about the tins already.

But it has now become a priority because I only have 'til thursday to find some. As the BM dealer has to order them in obviously before then, probably only got tonight to find some!!

So apologies for repeating myself just a little

Have you got to have them on the bike from day one?
If the dealer is charging you full retail price,he can get them later.
Give you a chance to shop around.

Havn't got to have them on the bike straight away, but the dealer is over 200 miles from where I live and the offer won't be left on the table.

If he wants the full retail price then it doesn't sound like much of an offer to me.

Last night i had a pipe burst in my static-caravan. Lucky i wasn't listening to loud music & heard a the weird sound of gushing, gulping, gushing..etc. Small lake & panic ensued.

Back on track, i' was waiting for daytime to take pictures of my R1200GS Side-panniers, they are mint inside but on the outside & inner part facing the wheels have been caked in salt & dirt so that was my only reason for delaying price etc. Plus i've attempted to see how they will look with some TLC. Friend of mine has a sand-blasting machine so i might get them sorted if no-one likes the half-price i want or would like.

I've also tomorrow got to see solicitors regarding a claim against me for accidently damaging a hire-car passenger door when the wind yanked my drivers door out of my hands. Whilst been in a free-car park.

So sorry Taco i've to much to do & wouldn't want to rush those things to sell my extra boxes plus read he rules for sale's, ...don't wanna get banned.

ps: Just had my 16k (actually 16,500 due to breakdown in communication) mile service with new pads front & back, fork oil & a couple of freebies, new indicator/calaiper bolts replaced as the heads were on the way out + valet. Finally straightened handle bars as a bonus!!. Lifting a F8GS one handed by the handle-bars will bend them, especially if the bike is lower than the ground your hoiking' it back up onto. Wollaston BMW (Northampton) are bloody nice people. Still got a £351 bill mind

Hi,

Maybe you could bargain a bit harder , i just bought a GSA from a dealer , not new but low mileage demo, i got the new adventure panniers free , new front tyre free and a new BMW enduro helmet free as well as £550 off the original price.
I just stuck to my guns and bargained hard.

Leave the Bm boxes on the dealers table .... shop around ....there are alternatives
