Even old Stick managed to spot it, take it in, digest it and work out that non-waterproof bags may well need some sort of simple prophylactic to stop their contents becoming wet or damp. Sound advice all round, I would have thought.

As to what sort of twit puts their non-waterproof bags down in a puddle? This is the 1200 Technical section, take your pick from a potential cast of 100's. Maybe your friend carting their filthy panniers and top box in and out, up and down, fits the bill?

By BM do you mean the BMW liners ....if so, mine have only one central zip, and no pockets??....have they changed the design?

Yes I do. The liners I have I brought last year and they have a separate mesh pocket in the lid of the bags and a smaller zipped pocket on the mesh section. Really good kit, just a bit bulky. Mine also have expanding zips on the bottom side. I thought they were all the same, apparently not.

I think you, Shredder, have the bags for the Vario panniers (vanilla 1200) whilst matey has the bigger bags (non-adjustable and un-meshed) for the rufty-tufty Adventure.

I posted a bit back with pics. I use Sainsburys coolie bags.

Sturdy, reasonably waterproof, and 7.99 a pop. no brainer for me.

God they even have shoulder straps and carry handles and fit a vario perfect or a TT GSA pannier with a bit of room for stuff outside then e.g. Dirty kit stuff sacs.

Trust me, money well spent, the best 16 quid ive ever spent for sure
