Pannier Protection

Hi There,

I have just got some new BMW Panniers for my GSA and was watching a couple of videos and there was a suggestion to get some protection on them.

Looking around there are plenty of paint protection firms but wondering if anyone has recommendations or suggestions where to go...I assume if the company is a good with film they should be able to take care of these but thought I would ask...maybe there are specific companies in the UK who have the relevant dimensions, designs and able to install?

I have had quite a few of my motorcycles protected by application of 3M Ventureshield. I used Bodyguard UK in Daventry - https://bodyguarduk.com/bikes/ - but I attended there & had them apply it, as opposed to buying a kit & doing it myself. I wanted to avoid the "corduroy look"......

Tony James design did the tank panels on my GS when it was in for a service at Cotswold Motorrad. He does all their protection and does a real professional job. He was doing an RT including the panniers while I was there. Knows what he's doing and was very particular. Beware the cheap stuff is likely to be just PVC, not proper PPF

He does an excellent job but I was told that he has some health issues & is either not doing it, or cutting back. But there is always the chance that I have been misinformed !

Thanks for the update and I'm sorry to hear he's not well. Hopefully the NHS can sort him out as he's a decent bloke.
