Does anyone remove these for most of the year? Intend to tour a couple of times per year so wondering if they can be taken off easily/quickly when not needed, just to give a sleeker look when panniers are not on.

Yep, removed mine as soon as I got the bike home from the dealer.. Easy to do remove the 2 torx head bolts either side of the seats plus the ones on the frame and off they come!!
