enquiring at my local dealer about the prices of a new gsa.he said yes the panniers are free but the rails are £230. is this correct,or is it bacause i only wanted the basic model[no bells and whistles].
So they'll give away the panniers but charge for the means to mount them to your bike? I sort of got the impression that the 'offer' meant you rode away with your luggage for no extra charge?
Either your dealer is trying it on or BMW's offer is something of a joke
yeah the dealer is right the boxes are free but you have to pay for the frames, it says so in the small print of the ads, you didnt think it would be as easy as just picking up your new bike with boxes attatched. Theres no such thing as a free lunch but look at it the other way i had to pay 600 quid for mine the other year!!!
Its says in the add that mounting system is extra on GSA,tell them its a deal breaker, also make sure they throw in the 1st service or your looking at an extra £150,not been back to chester since
Better still do what I and several others have - ask for a bike with a basic spec and when they tell you there are none with that spec in the UK but plenty with premium and dynamic packages (ie everything inc pannier frames) haggle it for the same price as the basic spec.
