Ok - I've placed the order for 25 sets chaps. (that's 75 bags )
Takes 2 weeks from order to manufacture......... so pushing it, they will be with me on the Friday before I leave for the UK.
Going to try my very best to get them into the luggage - but obviously understand... I'm weight limited - AND trying to emmigrate and supposed to be taking some of my personal effects over to the UK...........

So I will bring what I can for now and based on the "wish list" of names on this thread, will allocate those bag that I manage to get there on a first response basis. (I would think it's fair)

Those that I do not manage to bring, I will try and send via the postal service (god forbid the cost from SA.... but we'll see) - otherwsie maybe there's some Tossers here in Cape Town for the Football and they might be willing to take a couple of sets back home

My booked flight is for Saturday 12th June, so should be there Sunday 13th (straight to bed to kip ) so Monday 14th will be there officially - with the bags - providing the supplier has produced the goods.

So checking with the manufacturers today and all they have on their bloody minds is soccer and everyone's blowing those flippen Vuvezela's... FFS.. gonna shove those up somewhere soon. Forget about road-rage... it's going to be "Vuvu-rage" soon!

Arrived there and they only started cutting the material today. My deadline to them is Friday afternoon, otherwise I'll not get the sets packaged in time to squeeze in my luggage.

Also setting up a suitable bank account - a nightmare from SA as Lloyds (quite obviously - are scared sheite-less due to all the fraud)..........

Price set at £82.00 for the complete set + Postage on top, which I was advised by a kind Tosser to be around £7.50 - to be confirmed when I get there!.
I'll have mainly Black with a couple in Grey as I'll be looking for distributors in the UK.

PAYMENT - could either be done on collection of the bags at BR5 1NG - or I will advise bank details (paypal) when I get there.

PLEASE bear with me - I have no clue how many sets I'd be able to stuff into my luggage. Most probably come over with just my underpants on!
Emirates allows me 30kg and I seem to think that a complete set weighs in at around 1.2kg.
For the time being - I have the following list of names that indicated that they wanted a set........... so I will allocate the sets I manage to bring over to those kind souls starting at the top and in order of the response received.

As of yesterday afternoon - NO!! Apparently they completed most of the Side Pannier bags, but something went wrong and the Topbox bags had to be "unpicked" & redone.............. BUT then the farking wheels fell off - 'cause I called them at 13h20 and at that stage there was a news broadcast and the Unions said people should down tools and go support Bafana Bafana for the match against Mexico.................

The owner told me he'd get the girls in this morning to complete the bags - but matey the collective hangover here in Cape Town after the matches yesterday.......... I'd be REALLY surprised.

He PROMISED me to have the majority of the bags completed by 10am this morning............

Cannot even try to think what this is going to cost this country's economy... with all the schools, varsities & technicaons being given 6 weeks holiday over the WC period......... devastating for the economy!

All I can say is that I'll try my very best and those that I don't get now - we'll try and bulk-ship to the UK and then re-distribute when they get there.

Goodness - I need one of these... even though it's 8 in the morning.......... hardly slept with the noise of the French game last night!

UPDATE!


Went and sat with the manufacturer this morning and at 11 am walked out with a box of bags.
Not all of them as I'l have liked, but I think it was 10 or 11 complete sets ....... just as well, the have been vacuum-packed and just, just fit in my suitcase at 29.8kg (my limit's 30kg) so at least I can stuff a pair of undies in there as well !

So for the time being - there's 6 Sets in Black (3 bags per set) and 5 Sets in a Dark Grey.

Polecat will PM you my addy and number when I get there tomorrow... - you can then check the bags and make sure it's the quality promised so I can let the other chaps have 'em!

I also have 2 sets of Custom GSA Crashbag Bags - but want to see whether I can get some distributors in the UK........ so one will be available once I throw it in the pot!
