My brother and I are taking a ferry from Belfast port in two weeks time and we will have to leave the car somewhere secure in the area from Friday untill Monday, is there secure parking at the port or can anyone recommend a secure carpark that won't charge us a fortune for the weekend?
The train would be the handiest from Kildare but at €55 per person each way it'll be a last resort.
Thanks.

Car Parking Tariff
First 30 minutes FREE
30 mins – 1 hour £0.70
1 – 2 hours £2.00
2 – 4 hours £4.00
4 – 6 hours £7.00
6 – 8 hours £8.00
8 - 24 hours £9.00
then £8 per day (or part thereof) Per Week (7 days)
- Pre-paid – £40.00
- Pay on Exit – £50.00
Lost Ticket – £55.00

eek - all the places near it are factory unit type places so no place to do a sneaky and walk in

I don't mind paying if it's relatively secure, it'll still be cheaper than €220 for the train even with the fuel on top.
Thanks for the prices, I couldn't find them online.

I have seen bikes parked in there , near the entrance to the terminal (still in car park) I would be very surprised if they were paying for the privilege. Plenty of space to get in and out past barriers ....... I know what I would do !

I suspect quoted rates are for cars. Better if I don't suggest more ....... if in doubt , you could ask there at time of parking

A mate of mine works on the ferry and is a biker, if you don't find something suitable let me know and I'll ask him.

Be warned though there is very little in the way of trains to the port these days but there is a bus

  • Bus

Translink operate a limited Metro service (96) from Upper Queen Street near Belfast City Hall to the terminal from Monday to Friday.

Single adult fare is currently £1.70 single, children 85 pence single.

Stena (if it is Stena) is way out on West Bank Road and secure 24 / 7 and you would be in a secure car park as you need the ticket to get out

Won't be bringing the bikes up there, don't mind leaving the car over the weekend but we would be nervous leaving the bikes out in the elements.
Thank for the offers of help but they won't be needed thanks, we shall take the car.
