seem to remeber

Reading the ultimate horror of someone getting the bike stolen.
If your as unfamiliar as you sound , i woud just get the bus.
Pauric nestor runs ""Galway - Dub airport - galway "" very frequently.

stories on the bmw website and other places of bikes being robbed from dublin airport and also heard of cases where they did not get the bike but robbed the contents of panniers and in one case the panniers themselfs.
i think you would be as well to take civils advice

The best advice is don't do it.

Many bikes have been nicked from there. There is no parking for bikes, so you have no way of chaining it up properly and the CCTV is worthless as others can attest.

If you must... last time I took the bike, I parked in short term, Block A, chained it to a concrete pillar. Just rode around the barrier on the way out. That was a few years ago though... I wouldn't if I were you.

Am I dreaming or did someone here suggest to take the bus! No offence there but the bus constitutes so much pain im achin in anticipation. Took the train!

And yes i am a Big Advocate of the Bus .
Its Better By Bus .

I had thought you were coming on here to say you had the Balls of a Donegal Man,
and Parked your Bike at the Airport , with a ""Dare Ye "" sticker on the side of it !
But alas no , Just a Humble Galway man , he took the Train !
Probably safer on the Train anyways Davo , at least ye could had an interaction wey other
galway Bikers

parking

Sorry, I forgot the train service dont service donegal men(along with a whole lot of women).

.

We've left the bike a the airport, in block A, 3 or 4 times since christmas for weekend while we go to the UK. We drive right up to the door, park, lock up and we're in departures in bout 3 mins. Our hand luggage comes out of the panniers, motorbike gear goes in and away off we go!

So much better than sitting in traffic for min 1 hour, parking in the long term, getting the bus etc etc.

There are loads of bikes there, plenty of space and it's free!

There are security cameras too.
:)

Hell or Connaught !

yeah , with the Advent of the Modern combustion engine , we moved on from trains in Donegal , Roughly about a hundred years ago.
As for the women , they were always tooooo much for Conemara Men.
Like the Bogs they trotted they , were used wey oul soft things , not the
firmer beauts of the Donegal highlands !..............

Park mine there frequently with no issues; enter on the lower level A just past the barrier on the left hand side there is plenty of scope for locking it and there will be loads of other bikes there, and drive out past the exit barrier buck shee.
