part Number 4663 7675039-03 Help!

I have mostly dismantled the GS to give it a good Spring Clean. This morning, when I was supposedly putting it all back together again, I found three small rubber clips on the garage floor(part numbered in thread title). They are from the plastic tank cover or side panels, but these parts are now so clean I cannot see where they originally sat. Cannot find the part number in the bmw parts microfiche either. Has anyone got any idea where they fit please? Cheers.

Would they be the ones that fit around the underside of the filler cap?

Turned computer on to answer my own question and amazed at your rapid responses. Yes, they are from around the filler cap and it would have been obvious if I had thought it through properly. Thanks again.

They are a complete twat to hold in place whilst you fit the fuel filler cap screws. You'll work it out (eventually), have fun.

Incidentally, you don't need to remove the coloured tank cover in order to remove the fuel tank, you can leave it fitted in place whilst you undo and remove the plastic tank (be sure to undo the beak-to-tank cover torx screws though).
