Hi all

I have a 2016 gs 1200 triple black and I am looking for a replacement but of plastic that’s broken.

Does anyone know the part number for the fork protector circled in the attached picture?

Any help much appreciated

You’re unlikely to find anywhere to buy it on a Sunday evening, so may I suggest that your favourite dealer, in 12 hours time, will not only find the part but be able to sell one to you.

As stated its all part of front mudguard. Keep looking on ebay. R1250gs ones & are the same . I bought one 2nd hand for £30 a while back. Or try Motorworks

Correct me if I’m wrong this is a forum to help people the guy asked for some help what a stupid

Had to fit a front mudguard on prev bike.
From memory was about £50

It's a front wheel out job there's two bolts up on the inside of the mudguard btwn the fork stanchion area

The part number will be somewhere on the part itself, out of sight. Might take a bit of spotting as it will be the same colour as the plastic.
You’ll need the last 7 digits. Probably starts with an 8.

You are wrong, consider yourself corrected. What about the tongue in cheek direction towards a dealership is unhelpful? Try reigning in the insults a little and consider if your response might be considered stupid and ignorant and somewhat less than helpful.

For the OP

For future reference, there is a great tool for part numbers for all the BMW bikes (both modern, and classics): www.realoem.com

I use it regularly, and find it a great source of info for parts numbers. I can then ph one a dealers and ask them to look up the part number…saves them time, so they are more than likely to assist.

Hope this helps

I came back to it having parked it up and it was snapped at the bottom of the fork. Can only think it was done maliciously

Yet he has probably contributed more than your 33 posts in two years.....Calling a dealer or googling is hardly a difficult proposition

You’ve been here long enough to know that Googling is an almost impossible task for many forum inhabitants :D

Just an fyi I did Google but the reason why i did not find much was because I mistook the fact that the fork leg covers where part of the front mudguard, I had wrongly assumed that they were separate and therefore much googling did not produce results, it was only when it was pointed on in this thread that I found what I was looking for almost instantly.

Thanks all
