First decent ride out on the 1150 today And with paranoia firmly fixed in my mind listening for every minor rattle, growl, squeak and thump I noticed that when cornering (either way) at a fairly lowly speed (20-30) there was a whining / rumbling coming from the rear of the bike. It could be felt through the footpegs too. Most noticeable if I slalomed as if warming the tyres.
No Noise, whining or rumbling when upright though.
I've checked the rear tyre and it does seem to be stepped where the shoulder is so I'm suspecting it's only tyre noise but mindful of FD failure I'm seeking the opinion of others.
No significant play in rear wheel and I can't feel any bearing rumble.
Anyone else on here running squared off Tourances that would care to report back if they can hear similar whining from the rear end when cornering?
I've a decent run to the Black Forest planned for later In the year and I'll be fitting new tyres as the departure gets nearer.
Thanks in advance.
