Passport question on morrocco

Am I reading correctly that as long as I have 3 months remaining on my passport from time of entry I'm ok ?, my passport runs out in sept, I will arrive in morrocco round about the 11th 12th of April

Plus, assuming you take a vehicle IN, you will have two parts of a triplicate form with you, the first being left with the Duane.

DO NOT LOSE THEM.

On exit, you will end up with ONE copy (the white one)

Even though you've left, KEEP that copy, and remember to take it if/when you go back to Morocco......On several occasions, we had situations where our previous exit hadn't been properly recorded, so they kicked up about us coming back into the country and wanted money for the tax on a vehicle they said had therefore been imported

Quite funny actually, taking the peaked cap Duane over to the Landrover and showing him that we were trying to bring back in the very vehicle he was saying we hadn't taken OUT the previous time.

We had several problems with Honda C90s as well........MrIfan's in particular....as we went IN through Sebta then OUT through Mauritania, the records were all to pot, and several years and half a dozen visits later, he was still challenged about the bike that was 'still in the country' until he produced his white copy of the temporary importation form

Then again, it's always solvable

Cheers guys I thought I read it right so thanks for the confirmation, also my ins company don't want to give me a green card so il get some when I get there I read that the ins office near Ceuta has now closed any idea if there are any others near the border?.

I'd either try a bit harder with your insurance company or change them although some are known not to bother with insurance not me though

If you go into Tangier Med you can buy it there.

There are several in Algeciras.
I don't know if the one at the border in Sebta has closed, it seemed to disappear for a few months but then re-opened, then it changed locations when they moved the barriers across

You pay about a fiver more for insurance from Algeciras than by doing it in Morocco, which is about 10% of a month's worth of cover (most covers are units of 10 days up to a month, then in quarters after that) but a fiver is good value if you haven't got the hang of what Morocco is like.

guys I tried again with my ins they told me to feck off so it's got to be morrocco or Spain I get the ins, thanks for the no tim, I've been to morrocco before but in a car and we didn't have ins but that was a few years ago,
Blue sweeper you reckon it might be easier going through tangier than Ceuta then ??? Anyone else got any feed back on what ports are the easier ?

Yes, Tangier Med.

15 years ago I'd have said Ceuta, just for the experience but even there has changed beyond recognition.

Yes, do the Algeciras-Tangier Med crossing, it's actually cheaper than the Algeciras-Ceuta crossing. I would NOT recommend the Tarifa-Tangier entry point. The Ceuta entry is an "experience" especially on any May 1st. Hmmm, won't make that mistake ever again.

Tangier med it is then I've got about a month out there last time I went I was in fiat panda I done a loop round the the Atlas Mountains on to to the dessert I think we ended up I merzouga I had great time ,
This time I was thinking it would be fun to take a lot of the trails I saw has anyone got any tips or waypoints for any interesting trails.
