pelican Ipod case

Just got one of these for my trip to china in may, Its a pelican I1010 ipod case. I'm going into the taklamakan desert and the ipod will have all my photo's on it, don't want any sand getting into the ipod

Thought i'd do a little testing on it. I've already drove the works van over it and stuck it in the dishwasher. It's definatly crush proof and waterproof, going to stick it in the beadblaster at work tomorrow to see if it's dustproof

Can't buy them in the shops yet, i got mine off ebay for around £30

Thought it may be of interest to some of you lot.

Top kit - I have one for my dig camera - totally nuke proof.

It is dustproof btw. The one for my digicam arrived today


They are top bits of kit, i have a set as panniers on my bike and i use another one as my service toolbox. Food factories use a lot of water to clean stuff

Ahh, they were the days, a clean almost standard bike

they are the 1550 cases and the rack is made by a guy in the states, you can buy the complete setup from him which is what i did, the 1550's were more expensive over here. Mine worked out at around £550 with customs charges.
