Very true. Thats why I am not getting any deeper into the discussion with Mr Rolex sub seller / trader.
I also dont wear mine when out in Laaahdun amy more especially in summer with short sleeves for exactly that reason. I don’t fancy getting mugged.

Yes I agree. It is. Thankfully in NL I have no issues but living partially in east London is a risk. In Canary Wharf not a big issue but if I wander up east to Brick Lane or anywhere else on public transport then best not to tempt fate

I used to be a fan of the Rolex brand...now I don't give a toss about them.
The clones are getting so good these days, both tell the time so what's the point of buying a £15k watch when you can get something similar for £400. Rather take the left over money and go on several holidays..

The Swiss had a great advert for this a few years ago, to me it's no different to sticking an ///M badge on a 116i.
There are so many cool pieces you can access at this price point that genuinely stand on their own when it comes to the history/watchmaking that I don't see a need for it. For the same money I'd have a *Real* Pepsi

I own 3 Rolex's the wife bought me a sub date for my 40th I bought myself a Sub no date for my 50th and then a Datejust for my 60th I also have super clones of them all so wear the clones as the other 3 have not been worn more than 3 times, all my mates know I have the real deals and are amazed when I go out and start painting or repairing the bike in the clones as they think im mad wearing a real one working !! good topic of conversation LOL the real ones are for the kids when I roll off the shelf they can either keep them or sell them !! I also have a fake pepsi that ive worn everyday for about 5 years now and it still keeps decent time and still looks good, out of all the watches I have Omega's included the fake pepsi has had more comments than all the others !!

This is a great way to do it. Just make sure you give your kids the right ones and don’t sell the genuines on some random thread on a tosser forum.
Good point. I know a few people with a serious collection of watches (think Daytona's, RM's, AP) and he wears very high quality reps (about £800+ a watch) as he doesn't feel safe wearing his real ones!

Probably an unkind description anyway 'fake' as it is an authentic production of its own making anyway.
Perhaps 'replica' better describes it as with football shirts etc.

It's a fake - nothing authentic about it.
But it isn't a discussion thread, opinions are of no relevance and it is up to a buyer to waste their money.
