Plug and play, for the most part. Dead easy DIY job, but make sure you get the Techlusion R259 which is specifically for R series bikes 'cos it has a BWM connector already on it - no splicing or soldering needed.
The suggested settings are fairly close, in my opinion, but I do intend to get the bike dynoed at some stage to set it up properly.
