Petrol on screen.

I managed to spray petrol on my screen (1200gs). It's now got milky smears on iy which won't wash off.

Any ideas on cleaning it, or am I looking at a new screen?

Do a search as it was covered the other week, best option seems to be toothpaste and elbow grease :thumb

This happens to a previous bike and restored to correct condition using normal paint/bodywork polish.

screen clean

I am trying to freshen up the screen on my adventure, usual stone chips on the outside, and scratch marks on the inside caused by using gloves on a dirty screen.
I first tried auto glym paint restorer, a normal polish with a bit more 'bite' this made it worse and put nice 'swirl' marks on the inside.
I then out of desperation used the normal auto glym, very slowly and with repeated applications it started to clear and the scratches almost go away.
Use a very soft rag for the polishing.
