Fuel gauge - after tank mod
I have a 07 GS (not adventure) before doing the tank mod (breather hole) I ran the bike past the" 0 miles" indicator for about 15 miles (long story involving a ferry, torrential ran and a very pissed off g/f) and crawled out at Dover on vapour - filled tank with nearly 21 litres.
After doing tank mod - and filling the tank with nearly 22 litres, confident that I had a few miles after the " 0 miles" indicator - I promptly ran out about 2 miles after it said I was empty. So it would appear to be pretty damn accurate if you have modded the tank!
