I took this in September as a Part ex against an NC. It's tatty, wheels and frame (except the bodywork is ok to good).
57K miles. MoT due Feb 22nd - if I can get it done before I will - absolutely certain it will pass.
Key points:
New front tyre fitted by previous owner not long before my ownership.
ABS properly removed.
Panniers are key matched (top box is a Givi with its own key)
Original BMW tank bag.
Heated Grips working and in good condition.
Heated Seats, fore and aft, working.
ESA seems to be working. It feels soft on comfort and harder on Sport.
ESA ride height works.
Electronic Screen adjust all working.
I replaced the headlamp assembly as the original had lost the lamp adjust knob.
I also replaced the forks with a pair from Sherlocks that actually were in better condition - fitted with new seals and dust seals. The originals had a bolt break off (mudguard) and I failed to get it out.
Clutch fluid replaced with the correct blue fluid.
Akropovic can is available (currently fitted) original one present.
There is a Tony Archer comfort seat also available. it is certainly like sitting on a sofa - however I wanted to use the heated seats so I put that on.
Couple of running lights fitted already - however, I replaced the loose switch with a fitted one in the Fairing panel.
There are a couple of aftermarket LED bulbs that were part of the original headlamp cluster that are incredibly bright. However, I didn't like the disparity between the dipped and main beam so when I replaced the headlamp I put in normal bulbs instead.
Reason for selling: Basically too big in the wrong places. Comfortable and very easy on the move, but I do a lost of smaller back rounds and this isn't ideal.
Because it is rather tatty, and I need to put a price so I will say 1725 plus options on the Akra, Tony Archer seat and Givi top box.
However, I'm usually more interested in deals for other things. Things I am (currently) interested in: Guzzi's, airheads, Enfields, Urals. In fact try me with anything if you are interested. Can always say no. Cash possible either way.
Note - the same day these pictures were taken (24th of December for the ones without the luggage) , there is a certain small ford in an aptly named place called World's End near me, where the bike went down at around a couple miles an hour. I remained standing and immediately cut the engine, but it did break the plastic rocker cover protector - which I have replacements now to fit. The only other casualty was the rear light bizarrely enough, since the indicator sticks out and the indicator part of the lens snapped. The bike was ridden away all fine. The damn ford is slippy as hell usually , and despite doing this multiple times over the last couple of years, it just so happened I picked the wrong line and touched the front brake.
